Oliver Maltby
Hello, I’m Oliver Maltby. I live in a small village called Moulton Chapel. Im seventeen years old and will be celebrating my eighteenth birthday during the journey. I am currently finishing my A levels this summer and will hopefully be heading off to university to study Sport and Physical Education.
My main passion in life is sport, mainly football, cricket and golf. I have represented Boston United Youth Football Club for many years and more recently played for Bourne Town Football Club. I am also playing cricket for Moulton Harrox XI.
Biking from Land’s End to John O’Groats has always been an ambition of mine therefore taking part in this worthy charity event, along with my friends, will be highly rewarding. Cancer has affected many of my close family members including my Dad, so raising money for Cancer Research means a lot to me and my family.
It will be a long and tough endevour but hopefully it will all go to plan and we will make it in the set time scale with no major downfalls whatever the weather.
Will Jex
Hello, I'm William Jex, I live in a rural lincolnshire village known as Gosberton Risegate. I am just over 6ft tall and I play a range of sports throughout the summer and winter months. My main sports are cricket and football and my past time is golf. I play cricket for Moulton Harrox XI and football for Pinchbeck United.
When i was asked to take part in this event I was more than happy to take on the challenge to fill in those weeks in the summer where the exams are over and the results are awaited. When deciding upon Cancer Research as our chosen charity i was more dtermined to take on the challenge as Cancer has affected family and friends around me.
After a few big sessions of training and realising the company i was in, i began to look forward to what two weeks of adventure i will have as i couldn't think of who better than Harry and Ollie to do it with.
Overall this trip couldn't be possible without support along the way. Camilla Smith and Ben Garner do in fact have the hardest jobs out of us all. It should be an enduring challenge and an experience, but we are doing it most importantly to emphasise and support what is a very worthy charity for this event in being Cancer Research UK.
